Table Mountain Cableway
The best views of Cape Town are seen from the top of Table Mountain. The Cableway takes you to the summit in under 5 minutes and the cable car’s rotating floor ensure that all visitors get a 360 degree aerial view of the city. The 65-passenger cable car runs from Tafelberg Road to the top of Table Mountain. To date the Cableway has transported more than 28 million visitors to the summit. A million visitors from all over the world use the Cableway annually.
 

Lions Head

Lion’s Head in Cape Town is a peak situated at 669 meters above sea level. The hike up Lions Head takes approximately 90 minutes at a moderate pace. Lions Head trail is steep but do-able, while the 5.5km trail packs a punch (Both ways). The views from Lions head are amazing. Take a look around you and see the beauty. Lions Head hike is the preferred route for mountain enthusiasts, the easiest of the routes in Cape Town.
 
Cape Point Nature Reserve:
At the tip of the Cape Peninsula, 60km SouthWest of Cape Town, lies Cape Point. Located within the southern section of Table Mountain National Park; a declared World Heritage site, as part of the Cape Floral region. The Park encompasses 7750Ha of rich and varied Fauna and Flora. Cape Point is a nature entusiast’s paradise. Rugged rocks and sheer cliffs towering more than 200 metres above the sea and cutting deep into the ocean provide a spectacular background for the Parks’ rich bio-diversity. The scenic beauty of Cape Point is not its sole allure; it is also an international icon of great historical interest with many a visitor drawn to the area because of its rich maritime history. Home to the Flying Dutchman Funicular and the Two Oceans restaurant.
 
Signal Hill
Experience the magnificent views of Cape Town, the Majestic mountains, and the Ocean from atop Signal Hill.
Signal Hill is so named because it was a site for signal flags to communicate weather conditions, thus providing opportune vistas of spectacular views.
 
Two Oceans Aquarium:
The Two Oceans Aquarium is a window into the spectacular oceans surrounding the southern African coast. Through displays ranging from the small and almost fantastical Knysna seahorses, to sea turtles and shoals of shimmering fish, the aquarium holds wondrous discoveries around every corner. Come face-to-face with giant spider crabs and have an adventurous tactile experience at the Touch Pool. Be sure to visit the I&J Ocean Exhibit, with its 9m long window, and 10m long full tunnel. Qualified divers can also make use of the opportunity to dive in this exhibit with shoals of fish and turtles.

There are 4 stunning beaches at Clifton. Visitors can experience the spectacular views, and the quiet, semi secluded atmosphere for a fun time in the sun, or at sunset.
Hout Bay
Enclosed by the ocean, mountains and wine farms, the cute fishing village offers a country affair with some adventure thrown in.
Hout Bay offers tasty seafood delights in the harbour and surroundings.
Boats available for fishing charters or a visit to Seal island close by.

District Six Museum

The apartheid nationalist government destroyed District Six in the 1960s. This memorial museum contains maps, photographs and other reminders of this old vibrant neighborhood. Site walks and tours in the Museum with ex-resident storytellers are also offered. A must see for those interested in the recent history of the Cape.

Blaauwberg Stand Beaches
A must visit for the Surfing and Kite-surfing adventurers. Beautiful beaches stretching for kilometers along the West Coast, allowing visitors to experience the diverse coastlines of the Cape.

The 12 Aposltes Mountain Range
The Twelve Apostles is a range of mountain peaks that runs along the Cape Peninsula south of Cape Town. They form the backdrop of a scenic drive along the coast. The mountain range stretches from Camps Bay to Hout Bay and makes for a memorable drive, nature walk or bicycle tour.
Bo-Kaap
Visit the former slave quarters of the colonial Cape, which was gifted to the Malay’s of the Cape by Queen Elizabeth. Offering rich history lessons and emphasizing the diversity of the Cape atmosphere.

Heart of Cape Town Museum

Experience the drama of the world’s first human heart transplant performed by Prof. Chris Barnard in 1967 in the fully restored operating theatres where the surgery took place. The fascinating and very emotional stories of the donor, recipient and medical team involved are told on a fully guided, 2 hour tour with the help of life sized silicone models and replicas of important scenes. Certainly an experience not to be missed!
Company Gadens
Visit the former VOC Company Gardens originally built in the 1600’s.
The birth of the Company’s Garden can be traced back to 1644 when the Dutch ship the “Haarlem” was driven ashore at Bloubergstrand. The crew managed to salvage the cargo and ship’s stores. Leaving these under guard, the rest of the crew set out towards the now Cape Town and settled next to a stream of fresh water, the Fresh River. Here, anticipating a long, they sowed some vegetable seeds they had salvaged and were soon able to reap crops which supplemented the food they had been bartering from with local people.
Muizenberg Beaches
A largely untapped tourist spot, it’s hard to believe Muizenberg is best known for being one of the most popular beaches with one of the most active surfing communities in South Africa.
Though the beach is still popular, the elegant splendor that once graced this seaside resort community barely shows through the paved-over streets, fast-food eateries and shopping centers.

Canal Walk Shopping Center

Built in what the developers call “Cape Venetian architecture”, the shopping centre hosts over 400 stores, 7,000 parking bays, numerous restaurants, 20 cinemas plus a game arcade.
Green Point Park and Biodiversity Garden
The urban park was one of the legacy projects of the FIFA World Cup 2010. The area is adjacent to the Cape Town Stadium and has stunning views of both the stadium as well as Signal Hill. Lovely place to bring the kids to exercise or to have a picnic. It is also a learning experience for young and old. The garden is separated into ‘People and Plants’, ‘Wetlands’ and ‘Discovering Biodiversity’. The park hours are from 7 to 7 with visible security.

Oranjezicht City Farm
The Oranjezicht City Farm (OZCF) Market at Granger Bay at the V&A Waterfront is held every Saturday from 08.15 to 2pm and every Sunday from 9am to 3pm. At the Market customers can do grocery shopping (veg, fruit, bread, organic dairy, free-range eggs, honey, muesli, etc), enjoy delicious cooked and raw foods and be inspired about helping to build an alternative food system. The Market is a source of genuinely exceptional local produce; food that is fresh, healthy, seasonal and that builds and that strengthens local economies. However the market is more than just a place to buy food – it’s a place where people come to connect, to share food and awaken their senses. The market is a participant in the wider debates around what we eat and where it comes from; a place where food is talked about almost as enthusiastically as it is consumed. Plants and flowers, vintage collectables, and a small section of clothing is also available.
Silvermine Nature Reserve
It got its name from the Silvermine River which starts in the reserve and runs to Clovelly. It is not only an important conservation area for indigenous fynbos plants, it is also a popular place for walking, hiking, caving, rock climbing, mountain biking, and bird watching.
The Cape Wheel
The Cape Wheel is a giant observation wheel that offers a spectacular 360 degree panoramic view of Cape Town from the iconic and vibrant V&A Waterfront precinct. Your viewing experience across the Mother City includes Table Mountain, Robben Island, Cape Town City skyline, Paarl Mountains, and the Cape Town Stadium. The Cape Wheel offers 30 fully enclosed air conditioned cabins that will take you 40 metres above the ground in safety and comfort on the 12 – 15 minute, 4 revolution ride. Cape Town Stadium
The Cape Town Stadium is an association football (soccer) and rugby union stadium in Cape Town, South Africa, that was built for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Today the Cape Town Stadium is the home ground of the Ajax Cape Town Football Club and is the host of the South Africa Sevens Rugby Tournament.
